Attacks: Fast PvP Robberies in BELLOCCO
Besides the deadly murder system, there is a faster way to take down a rival: Attacks. No travel, no detective: pick a target, fire a few bullets and walk off with part of their cash.
Besides the final murder system, there is a faster, more accessible way to get the better of a rival: Attacks (under Underworld → Attacks). No travel, no detective: you look up a target, fire off a few bullets and the outcome is decided instantly. Win, and you walk away with part of their cash on hand.
Note: this is not the same as robbing a business. Attacks are pure PvP against the player themselves. If you'd rather empty the till of a property (a casino, laundromat and so on), you're looking for robbing businesses: a completely separate system with its own rules, its own cooldowns and its own success formula. Both happen to use the word "robbery" in the game texts, but they are two separate mechanics.
Attack worldwide, no country restriction
You can attack any player in the world, no matter which country they're in: you don't need to travel there first like you do for a hit. Only players who are in jail or on a flight can't be reached, and the same goes for you as the attacker. Obviously you can't attack yourself, and you need at least 20% health to fight.
Bullets: your ammo for an attack
An attack always costs bullets: automatically and at random, without you choosing an amount. You need at least 5 bullets on hand before you can attack (configurable); the shot itself uses a random 1 to 5. When they're gone, they're gone: no bullets, no attack. Buy them at the Bullet Factory.
Luck works in your favor here: the more bullets the shot happens to use, the higher your win chance for that one attack. 1 bullet gives +5%, every extra bullet another +2%, up to a +13% bonus at the random maximum of 5 bullets. You don't choose the amount, but an expensive attack always comes with a small consolation prize.
Who wins? Power vs. defence, not a simple ratio
The outcome depends on your power against your target's defence, but deliberately NOT as a plain ratio (power ÷ (power + defence)). That would turn even a small advantage into a near guarantee. Instead, BELLOCCO uses a square-root scaled difference: every extra 100 stat points weighs more for a weak player than for a stat that is already sky-high, so a big advantage always counts noticeably, but never becomes a sure thing.
- Your base win chance (before the bullet bonus) is between 8% and 88%, depending on the gap between your power and your target's defence.
- On top of that comes the bullet bonus (+5% to +13%, see above), after which your final win chance is capped between 5% and 95%.
- You do not buy or train power and defence at the Gym (that builds a separate stat for Gym duels): you do that at Shop & Equipment, via the Buy Power / Buy Defence tabs, or for free (but slower) on the Training tab.
What happens when you win or lose?
An attack always costs some health. Winning hurts a little more than losing, because fighting simply comes at a price:
- Won: you steal cash on hand from your target (money in the bank is and stays safe, see bank) and lose a handful of health yourself, while your target loses a bit more. The stolen percentage is between 5% and 18%, but it isn't a fixed number: the more convincingly you win (the further the dice roll stayed under your win chance), the higher that percentage turns out. A narrow victory brings in noticeably less loot than a resounding one.
- Lost: you go home empty-handed, but lose a little less health than when you win.
There is a small chance that a successful attack drops a vault code. Big robberies also show up on the public headlines page.
Cooldown per target
There is no general waiting time between attacks, but you can't attack the same player again right away: after an attempt on someone, a cooldown of 2 minutes by default applies (it can shift with the active economy preset or season themes) before you can try them again. That way you can't strip one player bare by hitting them non-stop: spread your attacks over several targets.
How do you protect yourself?
- Bank your cash. Only cash on hand can be stolen.
- Train or buy defence at Shop & Equipment: high defence makes you a less attractive target.
- Hire a bodyguard through hiring protection: as long as it's active, nobody can attack you.
- Watch your health and recover in time at the hospital: below 20% you can't attack anymore, but you can still be attacked.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to travel to my target's country to attack?
No. Attacks work worldwide, no matter which country your target is in: travel is only needed for the separate murder system.
Do I need bullets to attack?
Yes. You need at least 5 bullets on hand to attack; the shot itself automatically uses 1 to 5 at random. Using more bullets also happens to give you a higher win chance for that attack.
What decides whether I win?
Your power against your target's defence, through a square-root scaled formula (not a simple ratio). The base win chance is between 8% and 88%, plus a bullet bonus of +5% to +13%, with a final cap of 5-95%. Never a guarantee, either way.
What do I lose when I win or lose?
Winning costs some health and earns you 5-18% of your target's cash on hand: the more convincing the win, the higher within that range. Losing costs a little less health, but gets you nothing.
Can I attack the same player over and over?
Not right away: after attacking a player, a default 2-minute cooldown applies before you can try the same player again.
Is this the same as robbing a business?
No. Attacks target the player and their cash on hand; robbing businesses targets the till of a property and has its own separate formula and cooldowns. Two separate PvP systems.

Less loot for your robber
Security in your Estate lowers the loot of anyone who robs you by 2% per level, and guards by another 3% each. Money in your safe is out of reach anyway.
