The world of BELLOCCO consists of six countries: the Netherlands (your starting country), Italy, Germany, the United States, Colombia and Japan. No country is just scenery: each one is a full, separate market with its own prices, its own businesses and its own active players. Anyone who wants to dominate the underworld for real thinks not in terms of one city, but of a world map full of opportunities. In this article you will learn what differs per country, why it matters and how to turn those differences into cash.

What differs per country?

Almost everything to do with money is tied to the country you are in. That means the same action can earn far more (or less) in one country than in another. The main differences:

  • Drug prices: where are weed, XTC or coke worth the most? The street price of every drug varies per country, and that difference is exactly what makes dealing drugs profitable.
  • Hospital fees and bullet prices: healing up and restocking your weapons costs more in one country than in another.
  • Red light rates: what a hooker earns per round differs per country.
  • Businesses and casino tables: every country has its own, each with its own owners. You always play at the casino of the country you are in at that moment.
  • Travel costs: the price and duration of a ticket to get there count toward your profit calculation; farther away is more expensive and slower.

Travel, smuggling and price differences

You travel through the airport, but only if you own a plane, which you can buy on the Black Market. You buy a ticket, wait out the flight time (from a few minutes to a neighboring country to over a quarter of an hour to the other side of the world) and land in a new country where the local prices and opportunities apply straight away. The heart of the whole world map is the price difference: buy or produce where something is cheap, and sell where it is expensive. In practice that is called smuggling: you move goods between countries and pocket the difference. A load of drugs that is worth little in the country where it is produced can bring in a fortune in a distant market. Travel costs and time in the air are the price you pay for access to that better market; as long as the price difference is bigger than those costs, you make a profit.

Strategy: move with the market

The smart player treats the countries like a chessboard. Produce drugs where the raw materials are cheap, store your stock and travel in one go to the country where the street price peaks. Own businesses in busy countries, because every player who heals, gambles or works the red light district there fills your coffers. Combine this with the Gym and the Shop to stay strong enough to protect your trade from robberies along the way.

A few rules of thumb: never travel on impulse, always with a goal, because every ticket is a money sink. Keep an eye on prices in several countries so you know where the margins are. And spread your assets: the owner of a hospital or red light district in a busy country earns passively, day and night, without committing a single crime. That is how you turn loose actions into a true international empire.

Frequently asked questions

How many countries are there in BELLOCCO?

Six: the Netherlands (your starting country), Italy, Germany, the United States, Colombia and Japan. Each country is its own market with its own prices, businesses and casino tables.

Why should I travel to another country?

Because prices and opportunities differ per country. You sell drugs where they are worth the most, buy businesses in busy countries and heal or restock where it is cheaper.

What exactly is smuggling?

Smuggling is moving goods, mainly drugs, between countries to profit from the price difference. You buy or produce cheaply and sell at a high price in another country.

How do I travel between countries?

Through the airport, with your own plane (sold on the Black Market). You buy a ticket, wait out the flight time and land in the new country, where the local prices and opportunities apply straight away.

Do travel costs really eat into my profit?

Yes. Travel costs are a deliberate money sink. Travel only pays off when the price difference in your favor is bigger than the cost of the ticket. So always plan with a goal.
