You will find the Shooting Range in BELLOCCO under Underworld: and since its rebuild it is no longer a dull click-and-wait button, but a real timing minigame where your fingers make the difference. This is where you build your murder skill: a separate progression track that is completely independent of your regular rank. So you can have a modest regular rank and still be the most feared shooter in the country. The higher your murder XP, the better your chance of hitting your target in a murder attempt: and the harder your shots land.

How the Shooting Range works

A session at the Shooting Range consists of 5 targets. A target with a shrinking ring appears at random spots on the range; as soon as the ring turns from red to green ("ripe"), it is time to click: the closer to that green window, the higher the precision of that shot. Click too early, too late, or let the target shrink away without clicking, and that shot counts as a miss. And here is the catch: targets appear faster every round. The first target is a warm-up, the fifth calls for nerves of steel. On top of that, a higher murder rank trains on a tougher range: the higher your rank, the faster the targets shrink: with a lower limit, so it stays doable even at the highest rank.

After five shots the game calculates your average precision (0-100%), and that directly determines how much murder XP you earn: by default between 6 XP (all misses) and 20 XP (a perfect series): the exact range can be adjusted by the admins. A sloppy session always earns something, but a sharpshooter earns more than three times as much per visit.

  • Free: training at the Shooting Range costs nothing by default (adjustable).
  • Cooldown: there is a 20-minute cooldown between two sessions by default (adjustable, scales with the economy preset).
  • Not from your cell: if you are locked up, the range stays closed until you are free.

Today's Sharpshooters

The Shooting Range has its own daily board: Today's Sharpshooters. It shows the five players with the best precision of the day: if scores are tied, the player who needed fewer sessions wins. The board starts empty every day, so every day is a new chance to blast your name to the top. It is a small daily title fight for honor, and a nice incentive to keep your timing sharp.

Why murder XP is so valuable

Your murder XP determines your murder rank: from Rookie via Hitman, Sniper, Killer and Butcher all the way to Legend of Death. That rank and the experience you have built up weigh directly in the murder system:

  • Higher success chance: your skill adds to your hit chance on every attempt. Two players with identical weapons but different murder ranks have a completely different chance of a clean kill.
  • More damage: your experience also scales the damage you deal, so a trained shooter needs fewer bullets to take a target down.

Murder is one of the most expensive actions in the game: you use up bullets, your weapon wears out and you have often already paid a detective. All those costs evaporate with a miss. So the Shooting Range is not a luxury, but the foundation that makes your expensive hits pay off: and it costs you nothing but a bit of timing.

Strategy and tips

  • Focus on the first targets. They shrink slowly; those first rounds are almost free precision. Do not ruin them by clicking too early.
  • Stay calm on the last targets. The speed increases every round. Wait for the green window before you click: a missed target always earns less than a well-timed hit.
  • Do a session every 20 minutes. The cooldown is fixed, so players who train every time the range is free build up a huge lead over days compared to players who only train right before a murder.
  • Train before you invest. Build up your murder rank first, then buy expensive weapons and detective tracks. The other way around is throwing money away.
  • Chase the daily board. One perfect session can put you at the top of Today's Sharpshooters: free respect in the underworld.

Frequently asked questions

What does a training session at the Shooting Range cost?

Nothing: training is free by default (adjustable by the admins). Your only investment is the default 20-minute cooldown between sessions.

How much murder XP do I earn per session?

It depends on your average precision over 5 shots: by default between 6 XP (all misses) and 20 XP (perfect). The better your timing on the targets, the more XP.

Why do the targets keep getting faster?

Every round the target shrinks a little faster, and your murder rank counts too: the higher your rank, the tougher the range (with a lower limit so it stays doable). That keeps the minigame challenging: the first target is easy to time, the fifth separates the sharpshooters from the bunglers.

What is the "Today's Sharpshooters" board?

A daily top 5 of players with the best precision of that day. If precision is tied, the player who needed fewer sessions wins. The board resets every day.

Does the Shooting Range really raise my chance in a murder attempt?

Yes. Your murder XP and murder rank count toward both the hit chance and the damage of every attempt. Together with a good weapon, training makes the difference between a successful hit and an expensive miss.
