How city events work, what effects they have and how to use them to your advantage.

Every now and then a city event breaks out: a police crackdown, a drug shortage, a gang war or a double XP weekend. An event lasts a few hours and changes, for everyone at once, how rewarding certain actions are. You will find the page in the menu under The City (City event).
What do you see on the page?
- The current event with its name, explanation and a countdown to the end.
- A table What should you do? showing the effect per activity as a percentage, a bar and often a button to the right page.
- If no event is running: the next announced event or previously finished events.
Effects

| Crimes | The payout from crimes |
| Drug trading | The profit on drugs |
| Smuggling | The profit on smuggling runs |
| Murder loot | The loot from kills |
| Street races | The prize pot in races |
| Arrest chance | The chance of getting arrested |
| Cooldowns | How long you wait between actions |
| XP | The experience actions give you |
Green means in your favor, red means against you. An event can have several effects at once, for example more loot but also a higher arrest chance.
Tips
- Is the arrest chance low? That is the moment for big jobs.
- Are cooldowns shorter? Chain your actions back to back.
- Is an activity red? Better wait until the event is over.
