The Map is the real world map of BELLOCCO: the city is divided into districts spread across the whole world, and each district is in turn filled with individual spots that players own and build up themselves. Whoever controls a district collects the passive income and a unique perk for the whole family. It is the territorial heart of the game: the bigger your territory, the greater your power.

The map: districts all over the world

Open the Map and you will see a real world map with a pin for every district, from Amsterdam to Tokyo. Hover over a pin for a quick overview: which family controls the district (the district boss), how many spots it contains and how much income the district produces per hour. Click a district for the full detail page, with a zoomed-in section of that same world map so you can see exactly where the district is, plus all of its spots.

Conquering a district

An unoccupied district can be taken right away: no fight needed. If a district is already held by another family, it comes down to a show of strength: the same formula as in a family war, based on the combined power of all members of both families. The stronger your family as a whole, the better your chance of winning.

  • Only the boss and underboss of a family can start a conquest.
  • After every attempt your family has a regroup time of 30 minutes before you can conquer again.
  • A freshly conquered district then enjoys a temporary protection window against new attempts.
  • The number of spots your family already owns in a district does not count in the show of strength: only the combined power of the members decides.

District perks: 23 unique bonuses

Every district gives the owning family exactly one unique perk: no two districts share the same system. As long as your family holds the district, the bonus applies to every member, automatically, without you having to do anything. Think of higher payouts from crimes, higher casino winnings, more loot from a robbery, a better chance to break out of jail yourself, or extra attack or defence power in family fights. Own several districts and the bonuses stack: each one a little edge on top of the system that district is about.

Go to Territory & district perks for the full explanation from a family perspective, or open the in-game page "Districts & perks" to see which bonuses your family has right now.

Presence: who has the most spots?

Every district detail page shows a "presence" overview: which family currently owns the most spots in that area. This is purely informational: it does not automatically make a family the district boss, that still requires a real conquest. A high presence is, however, a strong signal that the family may soon make a serious claim on the district.

Spots inside a district: your own properties

Inside every district there are individual spots that players own and develop themselves: this is the layer you deal with every day.

  • Conquering unoccupied spots. You do not simply buy a free spot for a fixed price: it is held by a small "guard" that you have to bomb to take it over, just like attacking a rival. So you need a plane, even for your very first spot.
  • Attacking occupied spots. You take over a rival's spot by flattening it with enough bombs. Every bombing has a chance to miss, and a chance of arrest or injury: it is no free job.
  • Building. Put up buildings on your own spot to increase its income.
  • Walls & repairmen. Protect your spot with walls that add extra HP, and deploy repairmen to fix damage after an attack.
  • Protection window. Just like districts, a freshly conquered spot enjoys temporary protection against a new attack.

On the district detail page, hover over one of the dots in the zoomed-in map for the status of that spot: owner, family, relation to you, condition (HP) and number of buildings.

Tips & strategy

  • Get a plane before you go for your first spot: without a plane you cannot bomb, not even an unoccupied spot.
  • Choose your district by its perk. Presence does not count in the show of strength: focus on districts whose perk suits your play style, and make sure your family as a whole is strong enough.
  • Defend actively. Walls and repairmen are not a luxury: an undefended spot is an easy target.
  • Do not spread yourself too thin. A few well-defended spots in a district with a strong perk is often better than owning a little bit everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a plane to conquer a spot?
Yes: even an unoccupied spot has a small guard that you have to bomb, so you always need a plane and bombs.

What happens if my family owns several districts?
The perks of all those districts stack. Every district gives exactly one unique perk, so more districts means more different bonuses at the same time.

Can I see which districts my family owns?
Yes, the in-game page "Districts & perks" shows in one overview which districts your family owns, which perk each district gives and how much income they produce together.

Who can conquer a district on behalf of the family?
Only the boss and underboss can start a conquest.

Conquer your first district or strengthen your existing territory on the Map.
