War League: the weekly family war
The War League: a 72-hour war against another family every week, with divisions, seasons, a war chest and prizes.
In this article
The War League is a weekly, automatically scheduled 72-hour war between two families. You find the page in the right menu under your family (/oorlogsliga), with the tabs War, Standings, Hall of Fame and Rules. The War League is separate from the existing vendetta: you can use both side by side.
The weekly schedule
- Sign up: the boss or underboss signs the family up for the coming war.
- Roster and matchmaking: 24 hours before the start the selection is locked and the game pairs families by season points and strength. Anyone who has been a member for less than 48 hours at that moment does not take part that week and cannot be targeted either; anyone who joins later waits a week.
- Battle: the war lasts 72 hours by default and starts on Monday at 20:00 by default.
- Result: the family with the most points wins and the war chest is shared out.
War Strength and divisions
A family's strength, its War Strength, is the sum of power and defence of its strongest members who were active in the last 7 days (the top 15 by default). From a War Strength of 500,000 you play in the Elite division, below that in Rising. A family needs at least 3 members who have been in it for a while.
Attacks and points
- Each roster member has 5 war attacks per day by default (reset at 00:00).
- An attack is a one-on-one arena fight with your power, defence and gear. You win or lose no money and no health, it costs no bullets and it does not count as a regular robbery: it is only about points. Jail, hospital, travel and bodyguards do apply: whoever is unreachable cannot be attacked.
- A won attack is worth 10 points by default, multiplied by the strength of your target (0.5x to 2x compared to the enemy average). The same target on one day earns less each time (100%, 50%, 25%, then nothing), and targets with less than 30% of your strength count for a quarter.
- Per target your whole family counts at most 6 successful hits per day.
- A repelled attack earns the defender 5 points by default.
- Players who have been playing for less than 7 days are protected.
A tie? Then the family with the most successful attacks wins, then the one with the fewest lost attacks, then whoever reached the final score first. Still equal, then it is a draw.
War chest and rewards
At the roster lock both families put in a war chest of a small part of their family bank (1% by default, at least €100,000 and at most €25 million). The winner gets the largest share (70% by default), the loser a part (20% by default) and the rest (10%) disappears from the game. No money is created. The family also earns respect: +15 for a win, +8 for a draw and +3 for a loss by default. The season champion gets double.
Seasons and honor
A league season lasts 4 war weeks by default. Each war earns season points: 3 for a win (+1 for more than double the opponent's score), 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. At the end there is a champion per division and families can be promoted or relegated. Each war rewards the MVP, the Top Attacker and the Top Defender with a profile badge. Season champions get a champion badge for every member who scored. The Hall of Fame keeps the champions and records.
Frequently asked questions
Does my family have to take part?
No, taking part is voluntary. Only the boss or underboss signs up.
Do I lose money or health in a war attack?
No. Only the war chest the family puts in beforehand is at stake.
What is the difference with the vendetta?
You declare the vendetta (Family war) yourself and the first family to reach a goal wins. The War League is a fixed weekly competition with matchmaking, divisions and seasons.
Where do I see the standings?
On the Standings tab of the War League, next to your running war.
