An alliance is a pact between two families in BELLOCCO. Instead of fighting each other, two crews join forces and promise to stop attacking each other: a promise the game enforces technically, not just a gentleman's agreement. It is one of the smartest moves a leader can make: without recruiting a single extra member, you instantly increase your safety. You manage alliances on the same page as family war, under the Alliances tab.

How to form an alliance

Only the boss or underboss can propose or accept an alliance. You send a proposal to another family; their boss or underboss has to accept it before the pact takes effect. While a proposal is pending you cannot send it again, and you cannot form an alliance with a family you are currently at war with: end that war first.

What an alliance does in the game

As soon as the pact is active, strict rules apply between the two families:

  • No attacks on each other: the game blocks an attack on an ally completely. You simply cannot try.
  • No war: you cannot declare war on an ally while the alliance lasts.
  • No taking districts: you cannot conquer an ally's territory.

An alliance does not automatically drag your ally into your wars: their members do not fight for you by default and their victories do not count toward your war points. The main benefit is safety: you do not have to guard your border on that side and can focus fully on your own growth or on another enemy.

Breaking an alliance

Either side can break the alliance unilaterally at any time: there is no cost or cooldown. As soon as you break it, both families can attack each other again and even declare war. There is no limit to the number of alliances a family can have at once.

Why diplomacy pays off

BELLOCCO is all about power, and power is rarely something you build on your own. A family on good terms with its neighbors can concentrate on growth: conquering territory, filling the family bank and preparing for the big jobs. A family with enemies everywhere wastes energy defending on several fronts at once.

Strategy

Choosing an alliance is not a matter of shaking the first hand you see. Keep the following in mind:

  • Pick a partner you trust. An alliance can be broken unilaterally at no cost: your safety stands or falls with the reliability of the other side.
  • Limit your active fronts. Form alliances with neighbors who would gain you nothing in a war, so you can focus your attacking power on your real rivals.
  • Keep your own strength up. An ally protects your borders, but does not automatically fight alongside you. Keep training, arming up and expanding your Family Shop.

Choose your friends carefully: in the underworld a pact is only as strong as the ally who can break it. Want to build your own family and forge alliances? Play for free and start building your network today.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does an alliance do?

While the pact lasts, the two families cannot attack each other, declare war or conquer each other's territory. The game enforces this technically, not just as an agreement.

Who can form or accept an alliance?

Only the boss or underboss of each family. A proposal has to be explicitly accepted before it takes effect.

Does an ally automatically fight in my war?

No. An alliance protects you from each other, but does not drag your ally into a family war against a third party.

Can I just break an alliance?

Yes, either side can do so at any time, without cost or cooldown. After that, both families can attack each other again.

How many alliances can a family have at once?

There is no limit: you can have a pact with several families at the same time.

Can I declare war on an ally?

Not while the alliance is active. Break the pact first; only then can you declare war.
