In the Bellocco underworld nobody waits for an invitation. Want to get rich fast without producing anything yourself? Then you rob businesses: you break into another player's business, crack the security and empty the safe. Every euro you steal comes straight out of your victim's pocket: pure PvP, Bellocco does not create any new money. Note: a robbery is and remains pure cash theft. You can never take over a business this way: there is a separate, later action for that, covered further down in this article.
What is a business robbery?
Committing a robbery means attacking a real opponent's business to steal part of its cash. You will find the overview in the Underworld menu at /overval: it shows targets with their cash, country and your estimated success chance. The loot is always a transfer from the victim to you: a redistribution of existing capital, not newly created money. That keeps the economy fair and makes every successful robbery a real blow to your rival.
When can a business be robbed?
A business only shows up as a target when its cash is above a threshold (€25,000 by default, adjustable by staff) and it has not just been robbed: after an attempt, every business gets 30 minutes of rest before it appears on anyone's target list again. Casinos are an exception: only the part of the cash above the starting capital (the seed bankroll the table was originally bought with) counts toward that threshold and can be stolen. The starting capital itself can never be taken, so a robbery can never shut a casino down.
After an attempt (successful or not), you yourself have to cool down for 45 minutes before you can try another robbery or takeover: this cooldown is shared between both actions.
How is the success chance calculated?
Your success chance depends on your power against the owner's full defence. That defence is made up of four parts that all count:
- The owner's power: counts for half.
- The owner's protection (defence): the stat you buy in the Shop now also counts for half. Buying protection is therefore always a worthwhile investment against robberies, not just against murder attempts.
- The business level: every level adds a fixed defence bonus.
- The security the owner has bought for the business itself (see below): every level adds a solid, fixed defence bonus on top of a fixed base.
In concrete terms: defence = (owner power × 0.5) + (owner protection × 0.5) + (business level × 250) + (security level × 1,200) + 200. Your success chance is then 55% plus or minus the difference between your power and that defence (divided by 50), always capped between 25% and 85%: so even against the strongest defence you keep a chance, and even against a defenceless target 85% is your ceiling.
Loot and risk
If you succeed, you steal between 8% and 20% of the robbable amount in the safe, with a maximum of €2,000,000 per robbery: the fuller the safe, the bigger the hit, up to that cap. If your attempt fails, you have a 35% chance of being arrested and spend 2 to 6 minutes in a cell. Either way (successful or not), both your own cooldown and the business's 30-minute rest start immediately.
Protecting yourself against robberies
Three things together decide how vulnerable your property is: your cash balance, your personal protection (Shop) and the security of the business itself. This is important to understand, because it is exactly where many players get it wrong:
- Only emptying your safe truly removes a property from the robbery list. As soon as your cash is below the threshold (collect it to your bank via My properties), you are simply not robbable at that moment, no matter how weak your security or protection is.
- Security and protection only lower the success chance of someone who does try. They do not prevent an attempt: if you are above the threshold, anyone can take a shot, however well defended you are.
- Upgrading security is done per business via My properties, up to level 5. Every level costs more (starting at €75,000 for the first level, rising per level and scaling with the economy setting) and adds +1,200 defence points.
- Buying protection is done in the Shop: the same stat that protects you against murder attempts now also counts against robberies.
The warning system: "properties at risk"
If at least one of your properties is above the threshold, you will see a prominent, dismissable notice at the bottom of your screen: "1 property at risk" or "X properties at risk". It links to My properties and explains exactly the same as above: only emptying your safe truly makes you safe; security and protection only lower an attacker's chance. If you dismiss the notice, it stays hidden as long as the situation does not change. If something changes (a new property goes over the threshold, or your cooldown ends and your cash is still too high), the warning simply appears again.
Taking over abandoned properties: the entire property
Besides the regular robbery there is a separate action for businesses whose owner has truly stopped playing: taking over an abandoned property. This is fundamentally different from a robbery: here not just the cash but the full ownership of the business passes to you.
- Requirement: the owner must not have logged in for at least 14 days (based on their last visit). A player who is active but neglects their security only risks a regular robbery, never the loss of their business. There is deliberately no cash threshold for a takeover: even an empty property can be taken over, because this is about inactivity, not loot.
- Cost: a takeover attempt costs €250,000 (scales with the economy setting), whether or not the attempt succeeds.
- Success chance: the same formula as a regular robbery, but with 10 percentage points of extra resistance (a full takeover is a much bigger prize than a share of the cash), with a floor of 10%.
- Cooldown: a takeover attempt shares the same 45-minute cooldown as a regular robbery, so you cannot spam it separately.
- If it fails, you still lose the €250,000 and have a 35% chance of being arrested (3 to 8 minutes in a cell).
- If it succeeds, the whole business, including whatever is still in the safe, is yours immediately. The business's security resets to level 0 and the previous owner receives a message, in case they ever return.
You will find abandoned properties in a separate block on the robbery page, with the "Take over" button, apart from the regular target list above.
Robberies that count
It is not only about the cash. Every successful robbery and every euro of total loot counts toward your achievements, daily tasks, challenges and tournaments. Whoever consistently empties rivals' safes climbs the rankings and earns extra rewards. Recent robberies appear on the robbery page; your personal stats are on your profile and you can set them to private if you like.
Fair play
Bellocco strictly ensures that PvP redistribution stays clean. Accounts that share an internet connection cannot rob or take over each other: this way the fair play system prevents players with multiple accounts of their own from funneling loot to themselves.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take over a business with a regular robbery?
No. A regular robbery is pure cash theft: you steal a percentage of the cash on hand, never the business itself. Taking over a business completely is only possible through the separate "take over abandoned property" action, and that only works when the owner has not logged in for 14+ days.
How do I really protect my business against robberies?
Only keeping your cash below the threshold (collect it to your bank regularly) truly removes your property from the robbery list. Upgrading security and buying protection only lower the chance that an attempt succeeds: they do not prevent an attempt once you are above the threshold.
Does my protection (defence) now count against robberies too?
Yes. Besides your power, the business level and the security, your protection (the stat you buy in the Shop) now also counts fully in your business's defence formula.
When does a business become "abandoned" and available for takeover?
As soon as the owner has not logged in for 14 days or longer. That is a different, much stricter condition than for a regular robbery: playing actively with neglected security can never cost you your business, only cash.
Can casinos be robbed dry?
No. With a casino, only the part of the cash above the starting capital (the seed bankroll) counts as robbable: that starting capital itself can never be taken, so a table always stays open.
What is the "properties at risk" notice I sometimes see?
It is a warning that one or more of your own properties is currently above the robbery threshold. You can dismiss it, but it comes back as soon as the situation changes, for example when your cash goes over the threshold again after a new cooldown.
