Stock market — invest, spread your risk, earn passively

The Stock market is your passive investment layer on top of the regular economy of BELLOCCO. In place of cash on bag too let lie, siege you a part of you bank balance in fictitious Bellocco holdings and benefit you (or loss you) along with their price movements. No minigame, no timing bar — just buy, hold on to, spread and on the correct moment again sell.

Investing from your bank balance, not your cash

Important to know: the Stock Market works with your bank, not with your cash. Money that you invest will be written off from your bank, and sales proceedings will be returned to your bank. So make sure to transfer money to the bank before investing.

How do you buy and sell shares?

You buys no "whole" shares such as on a real scholarship, but a fraction of a share — exactly so much if your inlaid amount worth is against the current rate. Choose simply a amount in euros and you gets for that proportional much (fractional) shares. Sell works the other way around: you chooses how much shares (or everything in one time) you of the hand does, and the proceeds becomes in whole euros on you bank credited.

  • Buy — enter an amount, the amount goes off your bank, you receive the corresponding (fractional) shares at the current rate.
  • Sales — sell part or all of your shares of a company; the proceedings (rounded down to whole euros) will come to your bank.
  • Watchlist — follow a company without investing in it, so you can monitor the course before you board.

How do the rates move?

Courses do not move randomly back and forth — each company has its own trend that lasts for a while (as with a real market, a price can keep moving in the same direction a few taps in a row), combined with small, soft fluctuations. Occasionally, a "news event" detailed a larger gap in course — for some extra drama and opportunities. There is deliberately a hard limit to how much a price can change in one movement, so that the market remains exciting without becoming completely unpredictable. A course can never go all the way to zero.

The market "ticks" periodically — a new rate shall be calculated for each holding at fixed intervals. On the Stock Market page you will see a counter that will count to the next price movement, plus a price chart per company so you can see the recent history.

Why you can't put everything on one company

To prevent one player putting his entire power (or that of a handful of companies) on one card, there is a max positionq: You may have up to a certain percentage of your total assets (bank balance + the value of what you already own in that company) in a single company. That percentage automatically scales with your own capital — large and small players are thus equally forced to spread over the fourteen available companies, instead of putting everything on one card. There is also a bottom amount, so that a novice player with a modest bank balance can also invest a meaningful amount.

Sectors & Companies

The Stock Market has four fictitious Bellocco companies, divided into eight sectors with their own atmosphere and risk profile:

  • Building & Real Estate — construction companies and real estate empires.
  • Transport & Logistics — freight and shipping, do not always ask what is in the containers.
  • Horeca & Entertainment — casinos and restaurant chains.
  • Security & Weapons — security companies and arms manufacturers.
  • Media & Tech — newspapers, radio and game studios.
  • Financial — discreet bankers, usually the most stable (last volatile) choice.
  • Consumption & Luxury — distilleries and cigar importers.
  • Mode & Luxury — luxury fashion houses.

Each company has its own ticker, price and volatility — some move quietly and prematurely, others far more erratic. Check out the price history and your own transactions before you board.

Portfolio & transaction history

On the Stock Market page you can see at a grace your total portfolio value, your profit or loss per position compared to your stakes, and a complete history of all your own purchases and sales per company.

Tips & Strategy

  • Spread your money. The max position rule forces it anyway, so make a habit of it: divide your inlays across several sectors instead of putting everything on your favorite business.
  • Use the watchlist. Follow a few companies for a while before boarding, so you get a sense of their volatility and trend.
  • Think about trends, not ticking. One red tap says little — the underlying trend takes several taps. Don't panic at the first drop.
  • Combine with you bank interest rate. Money that you not invests, stays just on you bank stand and builds there interest on — the Stock market is a addition, no replacement.
