Smuggler (import & export)
Smuggling is the international branch of the drug game in BELLOCCO. Where you at drugs deal local you stock wears, lift you with smuggle you business over the border: you earns on the price difference between countries. Buy low in, deliver af where the street price sky-high state, and stab the spread in you bag. The smuggling page has three tabs: Smuggling run (you next job), Recent runs (you history, clickable and with pagination) and Top smugglers (the season leaderboard on profit). This is import-export, mafia style: risky, lucrative and not for the scared bosses.
How a smuggling run works
- Load. Choose a drug from your stock, destination country and quantity. The cargo immediately disappears from your stock into the cargo hold. Optionally pay your bribe.
- Fly. The run costs travel time (standard about 10 minute, adjustable). Meanwhile, your cargo is high in the air, out of range — and you can just keep playing.
- Custom control. Upon arrival, the chance of getting caught rolls. If you get through, you sell at the current street price of the destination country and cash the winnings. If you get caught, you lose your entire load and you turn into the cell (standard 3 to 10 minutes).
After each run a short cooling time (standard 2 minutes) apply before the coast is safe again.
Cargo department: from mule to Hell-Angel
How much you take per run depends on your best plane. As mule, without an airplane, you carry a grim 15 unit (default). Each aircraft also has its own separate cargo hold (separate from the bomb capacity you use when bombing) — the heavier the coffin, the more contraband it fits. The actual cargo areas by plane can be seen directly in the gun shop.
Have you the VIP benefit +10% cargo hold, than comes there still ten percent on top of. Planes buy you in the weapon shop — see Shop & Equipment.
The odds of getting caught: So you reduce the risk
Customs is the only real enemy on your route. The Gauntlet is composed of clear buttons (all values by default, adjustable by management):
- Base: 20%. Every run starts here.
- Load: +1% per 10 units above the first 10 free units. A full Nachtraaf flies far more risky than a half full Cessna — but it also adds up.
- Condition of your plane: up to −12% in top condition. A rattling box stands out; maintenance pays.
- Grease: −14%. costs 10% of the purchase value of your load (minimum €2.500). A couple of bills in the right pocket and the customs officer looks away.
- Lower limit: 4%. Smuggling is always a guess — also for the perfect run.
The quote on the smuggling page calculations this for you live, with and without glasses, so that you know exactly what risk you are running.
The spread: This is how you make a profit
Each country has its own, ongoing swinging street price per drug. The difference between your purchase value (home country) and the sale price (destination) is your spread. The market floats itself, so the smart smartgler waits for the gap to spread. Please note that the payout is calculated on the price upon arrival — during your flight, the market can still move, both ways. Your proceedings also scale with the seasonal theme and the economic balance.
Bonus sales: Sometimes a customer pays above the market price
With a successful delivery there is a chance that you will find a customer who pays more than the normal street price — a bonus sale of 5% to 30% above the market price on that run. This is just lucky. You see it only after arrival, in the delivery report and in the beef detail. It doesn't happen every run and the bonus is deliberately kept modest, so it remains a nice surprise without disrupting the economy — and without smuggling itself getting better than just selling on the street. If you are caught by customs, then the bonus sale does not apply — it's only for loads that arrive safely.
Loot next to profit
A successful run yielded more than cash: XP (scales with the size of your load), seasonal points, a chance of a safe code and a tuning partqqq for your vehicles. Each run counts for your smuggling performance, day jobs, week challenges and tournaments. The thickest runs even make the news — and show off the best smugglers of the season on the Top Smugglers tab, ranked on profit.
Looking back recent runs
On the Recent runs tab your entire history is neatly paged. Each run is clickable for the full story: Which drug, which route, how big the load, or you paid bribes, and what it got under the line — or cost. That's how you learn which routes and drugs are best profitable for you.
Tip: during a city event if Drug shortage or Customs strike shoot the prizes up or falls the border open — the moment for a big run.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a bonus sale?
If a successful delivery is successful, there is a chance that a customer will pay 5% to 30% above the normal market price. You can't see this until you arrive — a nice bonus on top of your normal profit, not guaranteed and deliberately kept fashion.
How much can I take per run?
Without aircraft 15 units (mule). With aircraft, the cargo hold set for that specific aircraft shall apply — heavyter planets take much more than a Smukkle-Cessna. The VIP acquisition furthermore gives +10% cargo hold.
What's the catch at customs?
Base 20%, plus 1% per 10 units above 10 free, minus to 12% on an airplane in top condition, minus 14% with vibes. The lower limit is 4% — it will never be completely safe (all values standard, adjustable).
How much is bribe?
10% of the purchase value of your cargo, with a minimum of €2.500 (standard). In return, your chances of getting caught are down by 14 percentage points — for thick loads almost always worth it.
What happens if I get caught?
Your enterprise load is seized (the purchasing value is lost) and you turn into the cell, by default 3 to 10 minutes. You also lost any bribe.
Do I need a planet?
It is not mandate — as a mule you can start — but with an airplane your cargo hold grows to 16× as big and a good condition also pushes your packing chance. For serious runs, a box is disposable.
The border wait on nobody. Play free, load you first cargo and climb to the top of the smugglers list.
