Account and Settings: Username, Email and Deletion
Manage your BELLOCCO account yourself: change your username (10 diamonds, old name stays reserved), change your email with password and confirmation link, set privacy options or delete your account.
You manage your BELLOCCO account entirely yourself via Settings (the gear icon in the menu). That's where you change your username and email address, set up your privacy and security, and can even delete your whole account if you want to. On this page you'll read exactly how those account options work, what they cost and what to watch out for.
Changing your username
Tired of your criminal name? Choose a new one via Settings → Username & email. Here's how it works:
- Cost: 10 diamonds. The diamonds are only deducted when the change actually goes through: a rejected name costs you nothing.
- Your old name is permanently reserved. Nobody can ever claim it again, not even a new player. That way nobody can pose as the old you after your name change.
- The new name must be 3-20 characters (letters, numbers and underscores) and of course available and allowed: taken, reserved or inappropriate names are rejected.
- The change is active immediately: your profile, leaderboards and messages show your new name right away.
Changing your email address
Changing your email address is free, but it uses a confirmation step so nobody can simply take over your account's address:
- You enter your new address under Settings → Username & email and confirm with your current password: that way nobody with only access to your session (for example on a shared device) can redirect your address.
- A confirmation link is sent to the new address. Only after you click it is your email address actually changed: until then your old address stays active.
- The link is valid for 1 hour. If it expires, simply request the change again; a new request automatically replaces the previous one.
Privacy and security
In Settings you also decide what other players can see on your profile, such as your online status, play time, stats, possessions or family. Tick what you want to hide and it disappears for everyone except you. Deleting your account
Want to quit for good? Then you can delete your account yourself via Settings → Delete account. It's a heavy button, so it deliberately has two locks: you confirm with your password and by typing the word VERWIJDEREN.
- Irreversible and immediate: as soon as you confirm, everything is wiped instantly and permanently: your cash, bank, rank, possessions, family membership, messages and progress. There is no waiting period and no way to restore it, not even through staff.
- Your username stays permanently reserved, so nobody else can pose as you after you leave.
- Your player data (including profile photos and related files) is permanently deleted, in line with the Privacy Policy.
Having doubts? You don't need to do anything to take a break: your account simply stays as it is while you're away for a while, with your money, rank and possessions intact. Only the season rankings and season points reset at the start of each season.

How much does changing my username cost?

Can someone else claim my old username?
No, never. After a name change (and also after account deletion) your username is permanently reserved, so nobody can pose as you.

How do I delete my account?
Via Settings → Delete account. You confirm with your password and by typing VERWIJDEREN. The deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone: everything is permanently wiped.
Can I get a deleted account back?
No. Account deletion is final and cannot be reversed, not even by staff. Not sure? Then just leave your account as it is: that costs nothing.
