Bounty hunting is one of the most ruthless game modes in this free mafia game: funded by players, fought out by players.

Putting a bounty on someone

Placing a bounty takes seconds. You pick a target by name, enter an amount above the minimum and confirm. The money leaves your hands immediately and goes into the pot on that head. From that moment on, the target is officially wanted.

• Stackable pot: is there already a bounty on someone? Then several players can add money to it independently. All contributions on the same target add up to one growing pot: and the victim can see how many hunters want them dead.
• Anonymous bounty: you can hide your name when you contribute. The target will see that there is a price on their head, but not who ordered it. Handy if you do not want to reveal your feud right away.
• Duration: a bounty does not stay open forever. When placing it you choose a time limit, from 6 hours to 1 week; every new contribution resets that clock for the entire pot. If the target is not taken out in time, everyone who contributed automatically gets their money back: so hunters always work against a ticking clock.
• Redistribution: no new money is created. The pot consists purely of what other players have put in, so bounty hunting moves wealth from one player to another.

The Most Wanted list

The Most Wanted ranking shows the players with the highest total bounty on their head. At the top are the city's juiciest targets: a high spot is a status symbol, but it also means half the underworld is after you. The hunt link on the list takes you straight to your prey. Making the kill and collecting the bounty

Bounties are collected through the regular murder system. Manage to take out the target and you collect the entire pot on that head in one go. The payout appears in your messages and the target disappears from the list until someone places a new bounty.

A successful collection also counts toward your achievements, daily tasks, challenges and tournaments. So bounty hunting is not only lucrative, it is also a quick way to boost your progress and season goals.

Fair play and anti-abuse

To keep the bounty list clean, strict fair play rules apply:

• You cannot put a bounty on yourself: getting yourself shot for profit is not an option.
• Bounty money put in by you, or by an account on the same network (same IP), is refunded instead of paid out on a kill. You only actually earn money from real, independent third parties.

This means you cannot use the bounty list to funnel money to yourself with a second account. Every euro you collect is guaranteed to come from a flesh-and-blood opponent.
